Day One - Home to Ilfracombe
We’ll make our way from the interchange to Ilfracombe, where we’ll check in to the Bay Dilkhusa Grand Hotel and enjoy an evening meal. (D)
Days Two and Three - Ilfracombe
We have included a trip into Exmoor, the national park has a wide variety of wildlife including birds and insect and Exmoor Ponies, the closest breed to wild horses remaining in Europe. We will visit the pretty village of Dunster, famous for its castle and yarn market that indicate the importance this village has held in previous eras. The other day is free for you to enjoy at your leisure in and around Ilfracombe. The town boasts fantastic seafood restaurants and a buzzing café culture, Lundy Island is close by and offers an opportunity to see puffins and seals or a short way down the coast is the beach at Woolacombe. Day Four - Ilfracombe to Home
Time to say goodbye today; we depart after breakfast and make our way to the interchange before returning home. (B)
Dilkhusa Grand Hotel
The Dilhusa Grand is perfectly situated hotel in the centre of the attractive town of Ilfracombe very close to the high street which has a number of fantastic independent shops, bars and restaurants.
Just across the road from the hotel are the wonderful Jubilee Gardens which contain the fascinating Ilfracombe Museum and the Landmark theatre. Or if you are feeling a bit more active head to the top of Capstone Parade, the cliff that overlooks town for great views back across Ilfracombe.
The town is perfectly situated between Exmoor and the North Devon Heritage coast, both of which have stunning coastal views and an amazing variety of wildlife across the two regions. Especially easy to reach by both bus and car is the quaint resort of Woolacombe which is famous for its vast and pretty sandy beach.
In the hotel you can relax in modern bars and lounges with evening entertainment on a regular basis and enjoy plenty of dining options in the restaurant which has a wide ranging menu. The hotel in general is a great place to socialise and meet new friends which will ensure your trip to Ilfracombe is a memorable as possible.
Barnstaple and Bideford
We enjoy a trip calling firstly at Barnstaple, a bustling market town famous for its pottery. Following some free time to explore, we continue on to pretty Bideford.
