Today, we enjoy a boat ride to the beautiful Isle of Elba, which is situated off the Tuscan coast.

It's the third largest of Italy’s islands and is home to beautiful, unspoilt and rugged scenery with stunning beaches and a pleasant Mediterranean climate to be found there.

Elba is renowned for its clear, blue sea and beautiful beaches. It’s also famous around the world for harbouring the French Emperor Napoleon in 1814 during his exile.

You will find remnants of its glorious past, from the archaeological findings in its museums to the impressive fortresses and military constructions. This is truly one of Tuscany's most unique destinations.

The city contains marvellous architecture, with Lucca’s defensive walls having been designed by Leonardo Da Vinci.

The area of most interest to visitors is still enclosed within these walls, which have never been breached.

Lovely holiday, great trips out with helpful friendly drivers Scott and Richard, would have been better in one of the more luxurious coaches as we slept overnight on them. Hotel needs shower rooms updating, but rest is clean and comfortable and situated in a very nice location, mountains behind sea in front and shops/bars 10 minutes walk. Would definitely go again!

Booked on line after ringing for some more info. Call centre helpful and pleasant. Website booking form a bit awkward at accepting telephone numbers.

I really enjoyed myself, I was a bit nervous before hand first time I have been away without a family member, but I do make friends easily so settled in really good. My room had a sea view it was perfect, beautiful. The bed was so comfortable, I probably had one the best sleeps the first night, but the rest of the week was fine too. i only had one problem when I went to eat in the restaurant I had ordered soup with a bread roll, well it was rock hard, well I put that down as an error of judgement on their part.
