Delightful Holland and Dutch Bulbfields Cruise

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then to the charming market town of Gouda, where we join our ship. Take some time this evening to settle into your cabin, meet your Cruise Director and fellow guests, and soak up the atmosphere of Gouda’s historic waterfront before an overnight stay in port.

This morning is yours to spend at leisure in Gouda – famous for its handsome Gothic town hall, centuries-old cheese trading heritage and the magnificent stained-glass windows of St John’s Church. For those that wish we offer an optional excursion to Gouda’s Cheese Experience? Returning to the ship for lunch onboard, we cast off early this afternoon and cruise towards Dordrecht, passing classic Dutch scenery of pastures, windmills and riverside villages en route. Arriving this evening for an overnight stay in the heart of the Netherlands’ oldest city.

Early this morning, we depart from Dordrecht and cruise to Nijmegen, arriving around lunchtime. Following lunch onboard we have the option of free time in Nijmegen or joining our coach transfer to Arnhem, where you can join our optional guided walking tour in the company of a local guide. Arnhem is probably most famous for the Battle of Arnhem, which was one of the largest airborne battles of WWII. Following our time in Arnhem we return to the ship in Nijmegen and enjoy dinner onboard. This evening, we set sail overnight towards Huizen.

We arrive in the pretty lakeside town of Huizen early this morning. Today, our included excursion takes us by coach for a full day at the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, and a packed lunch will be provided so you can make the most of your visit. Here, you have plenty of time to explore the 32-hectare site and enjoy the dazzling swathes of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths, themed pavilions and the wonderful atmosphere that surrounds this world-class event. We rejoin our ship in Huizen this evening and enjoy our final evening onboard together.

We bid farewell to our captain and crew this morning as we disembark in Huizen for the return journey to the UK, taking home wonderful memories of Holland’s waterways and world-famous bulbfields.
