Join us as we explore some of Scotland’s most impressive Royal sights, from our base in Dundee at the Double Tree by Hilton.
First, we discover Glamis Castle, childhood home of the Queen Mother and Scone Palace, shrouded in myth and mystery and at least 1000 years old. We then visit Falkland Palace, once a favourite place of Mary, Queen of Scots, and explore bustling St Andrews.

Day One - Home to Dundee
We’ll make our way from the interchange to Dundee, where we’ll check in to the Double Tree by Hilton and will enjoy a sumptuous evening meal. (D)
Day Two - Dundee
Join us today as we make our way to two amazing Royal palaces, both with interesting histories to delve into. First, we discover Glamis Castle, the childhood home of the Queen Mother and one of the most beautiful castles and grounds in Scotland. We then go onto Scone Palace, where former kings of Scotland including Robert the Bruce, Macbeth and Charles II were crowned. (B,D)
Day Three - Dundee
Enjoy a day at leisure today, the hotel has good connections to both Dundee and Perth via public transport. Both cities have a number of fascinating museums and galleries that chart their respective histories. (B,D)
Day Four - Dundee
We travel to one of Mary, Queen of Scots’ favourite palaces today - Falkland Palace. This ancient former Royal residence is steeped in history and after exploring it, we continue to visit St Andrews, a former royal burgh. (B,D)
Day Five - Dundee to Home
Time to say goodbye today; we depart after breakfast and make our way to the interchange before returning home. (B)

Full Day: Falkland Palace And St Andrews
Today we enjoy an excursion to Falkland Palace - once a favourite place of Mary, Queen of Scots. Surrounded by extensive gardens, this partly restored palace is a delight to explore. We continue on to charming St Andrews. The town's highly regarded university has seen a procession of famous graduates, including Prince William. Highlights include discovering the cobbled streets and narrow alleyways that circle the medieval centre and the world famous St Andrews Links, “the home of golf”, where the game has been played since the 15th century.
Full Day: Glamis Castle And Scone Palace
We have an exciting excursion to enjoy today, as we visit two Royal locations - Glamis Castle and Scone Palace. Glamis, packed with history, legend and myth - with Royal connections dating back to 1372 including being the childhood home of The Queen Mother, is also well known as the setting of Shakespeare's Macbeth. We also visit Scone Palace - once the crowning place of the King of Scots. Robert the Bruce, Charles II and the real King Macbeth all had their coronations here.
