Join us and discover southern Norway, famous for its stunning fjord landscapes. Journeying from beautiful Bergen, we’ll enjoy scenic excursions on our way across to Oslo, including a stay in the Jotunheimen National Park.Explore the wonderful coity of Aarhus, before we make our way by overnight ferry up to Norway, sailing along the coast before we arrive early afternoon in Bergen. We'll spend two nights here, before we make our way across the magnificent fjord region, staying in scenic Skei, Alesund, Boverdal and Geilo, before we reach capital Oslo. On our way, we will pass the Geirangerfjord, Sognefjord and enjoy a journey on the fantastic Flam Railway.
Day One: UK to Holland
Join our coach as we travel via Calais, with a meal provided before we continue across into Holland for an overnight stay. (D)
Day Two: Holland to Aarhus
We journey into northern Germany and up into Denmark, where we stay tonight in Aarhus, at the four-star Scandic Aarhus City Hotel. (B,D)
Day Three: Aarhus
Explore vibrant Aarhus today – this is Denmark’s second largest city and was the European Capital of Culture in 2017. Top attractions here include the ARoS Art Museum and Den Gamle By National Open Air Museum. This evening, we travel to Hirtshals and join the Fjordline overnight ferry to Norway, enjoying buffet dinner on board, with an included beer, wine or soft drink. (B,D)
Day Four: Arrive in Bergen
Wake up this morning and enjoy the views from on deck as we sail along the coast of Norway and it’s archipelago, arriving in Bergen early afternoon. We continue to the four-star Hotel Scandic Ornen, which will be our base for two nights. (B,D)
Day Five: Bergen
Enjoy a day at leisure to discover the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bergen, seeing the iconic sights such as the colourful wooden townhouses standing over the quayside. Join our optional guided tour to learn more about this beautiful city. (B,D)
Day Six: Bergen to Skei
Leaving Bergen, we enjoy a scenic journey across the mountain plateau to see the mighty Sognefjord, where we take the crossing from Oppedal to Lavvik. We continue towards Forde and onwards to stay tonight at the four-star Thon Hotel Jolster, situated in natural surroundings on the shore of Lake Jolstravatnet. (B,D)
Day Seven: Skei to Alesund
Today we continue northwards on a picturesque route, passing the Innvikfjord and through the Nordfjord region. We’ll arrive at the four-star Scandic Parken in coastal Alesund (or similar), where we stay for two nights. (B,D)
Day Eight: Alesund
From our base in Alesund, you’ll have chance to explore this lovely town. During your time here, why not head up to the Aksla viewpoint, where you can see the archipelago and Sunnmore Alps. You may choose to join our optional cruise from Geiranger to Hellesylt. (B,D)
Day Nine: Alesund to Boverdal
A wonderful day lies ahead as we journey along Norway’s famous Trollstigen serpentine road, winding its way through the mountains, then continue along the Geirangerfjord. We’ll overnight at the wonderful family-run Elveseter Kunst & Kultur Hotel, located in the Jotunheimen National Park. (B,D)
Day Ten: Boverdal to Geilo
This morning we cross the Sognefjellsveien, the highest mountain road in northern Europe, and see the magnificent Sognefjord. We also enjoy a trip on the famous Flam railway up the mountain, before we continue to Geilo, where we stay overnight at the four-star Vestlia Resort Hotel, surrounded by nature. (B,D)
Day Eleven: Geilo to Oslo
Leaving Geilo behind today, we travel to the Norwegian capital of Oslo, arriving early this afternoon. We stay at the four-star Scandic Holmenkollen Park. (B,D)
Day Twelve: Oslo
We have time in the city to explore today, before our overnight Stena Line ferry crossing to Frederikshavn in Denmark, with dinner on board this evening, including a beer, wine or soft drink. (B,D)
Day Thirteen: Frederikshavn to Aarhus
We arrive into Frederikshavn early this morning and will go on to Aarhus to have the day at leisure, before our overnight stay at the Scandic Aaarhus City Hotel. (B,D)
Day Fourteen: Aarhus to Holland
We leave Denmark and travel back down through Germany and into Holland for our final overnight stay. (B,D)
Day Fifteen: Holland to UK
We make our way back to Calais for our onward journey home. (B)

Aarhus Guided City Tour
Explore vibrant Aarhus on our guided city tour. This is Denmark’s second largest city, located on the Jutland peninsula and was the European Capital of Culture in 2017. Top attractions here include the ARoS Art Museum and Den Gamle By National Open Air Museum, with its centuries-old timber houses. Aarhus Cathedral is also a prominent landmark and has impressive restored 14th- to 16th-century frescoes.
En Route: Skei to Alesund
Today we leave Bergen behind and continue northwards form the Skei area, following a picturesque route, passing the Innvikfjord and through the Nordfjord region. Sit back and take in the wonderful views of Norway on our journey, as we make our way up through the coastal and inland scenery.
En-route Alesund to Boverdal
Heading southwards and inland, a wonderful day lies ahead as we journey along Norway’s famous Trollstigen serpentine road, winding its way through the mountains. We will then continue along the impressive Geirangerfjord, passing scenery for which the country is renowned. We’ll overnight in the Boverdal area tonight.
En-route Bergen to Skei
Leaving the city of Bergen, we head northwards and enjoy a scenic journey across the mountain plateau to see the mighty Sognefjord. From here we take the short ferry crossing from Oppedal to Lavvik, taking in the surrounding scenery as we go. We continue towards Forde and onwards to stay near Skei this evening.
En-route Boverdal to Geilo
This morning we cross the Sognefjellsveien, the highest mountain road in northern Europe, with opportunity to enjoy the surrounding views and and see the magnificent Sognefjord. We will also enjoy a trip on the famous Flam railway, one of Norway's most popular attractions, travelling up the mountain, before we continue onwards to Geilo, where we stay overnight.
Oslo Guided City Tour
Today, let us guide you through the splendours of Norway’s capital. The city of Oslo is surrounded by spectacular mountains and can be found on the south-eastern coast at the end of one of the country’s most famous fjords. Oslo possesses an appealing yet understated charm, with the tranquillity of its nearby forests, its wealth of open space and its stunning natural beauty making it one of Norway’s most popular destinations.
Our panoramic tour will provide an overview of the many sights Oslo has to offer, including the City Hall, Akershus Fortress, the Akershus Castle and many other excellent attractions. Of course, look out for a Viking ship or two as we discover this beautiful city, which is most famous for its wonderful heritage.
