In and around resort on sightseeing excursions
Charlecote Pheasant Hotel
The Charlecote Pheasant is the perfect base for exploring this historic region around the West Midlands. The hotel is set in an old farmhouse amid beautiful gardens and amazing countryside meaning you will be in quaint and pleasant surroundings throughout your stay.
Charlecote Park is just across the road from the hotel and the National Trust property is a great place to simply wander around looking out for one of the many deer who call the park their home. Beautiful villages surround the hotel with fabulous country pubs and small tea rooms such as Hampton Lucy and Wellesbourne which are perfect to explore on a sunny day.
Travelling a little further afield you can visit the historic towns of Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick. Stratford-upon-Avon is just less than 20 minutes away by bus or car and was the birthplace of William Shakespeare and a traditional Tudor town where there are a number of attractions concerning the era. Warwick Castle is a great place to learn about medieval history and is just less than a 15 minute drive or half an hour bus ride away.
The hotel is a historic farmhouse with a beautiful courtyard with outside seating. Stroll around the grounds or enjoy a game of tennis at the onsite court. We make the short journey to Stratford-upon-Avon, the town is renowned the world over as the birthplace, and for much of his life, the home of William Shakespeare. Now home to the Royal Shakespeare Company it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Sights include the playwright’s birthplace and grave and a museum dedicated to Tudor England, The Falstaff Experience.
