Day One: Home to Jersey
Make your way to your chosen airport for your flight to Jersey. On arrival you will be met by a representative and transferred to the Monterey Hotel for a four night stay. (D)
Days Two to Four: Jersey
We’ll spend three full days in Jersey at the Mayfair Hotel in St Helier. Included is a tour of the island which is a great opportunity to see the famous and dramatic coastline of this incredible place. Spend the rest of the days exploring the island. The town of St Helier is the biggest on the island and it’s easy to see both French and British influences on the town. The waterfront is a nice place to spend time and it’s possible to go swimming in the sea here if it’s warm enough! Other attractions in town are the Maritime Museum, The Jersey Museum and The Occupation Museum. There are a few things to see outside of town, in particular, the Jersey War Tunnels, here you can learn about the island’s experience in World War II as the Channel Islands became the only part of the UK to be invaded by Germany. Day Five: Transfer to Guernsey
Today we will leave Jersey and travel by ferry to Guernsey. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Saints Bay Hotel for a three night stay. (B,D)
Days Six to Seven: Guernsey
During our two days in Guernsey we will enjoy a trip Herm, a small island just off Guernsey’s mainland. Herm is a beautiful little island which is perfect for relaxing on one of the many beautiful beaches that dot its coastline. There’s also a great variety of fantastic wildlife to be seen, including a small colony of Puffins. Spend your free time on the island exploring the Saint Peter Port and Saint Sampson the two main towns which are picturesque seaports and both incredibly quaint despite being the island’s main towns. Day Eight: Guernsey to Home
Transfer back to the airport for your return flight home. (B)
Full Day: Jersey Island Tour
While we’re in Jersey on our holiday, we’ll be able to go on an exciting included excursion. This will take us around the island on an interesting sightseeing tour, and the coach tour will give us a chance to find out more about the history of Jersey. With a military history including the invasion of Jersey in the Second World War, plus an intriguing maritime past, there’s a lot of learn about Jersey! The tour will also open our eyes to the many beautiful landscapes on the island.
Half Day: Herm Island
Following a coach transfer to St Peter Port, you will board the ferry for the 15 minute crossing to Herm. The island is a little patch of paradise, home to just 60 people there are a couple of sights here, but the best way to use your time may well be to relax and take in the scenery.
St Tugual's Church has stood here since the 11th century and is the major site on the island. Other attractions include the White House Hotel and the Obelisk on the common. Otherwise take a stroll along this beautiful, car free island, which can be explored fully, only measuring 1.5 miles long.
