    Set in an outstanding position above its own terraced gardens, the Glenburn, which has undergone major refurbishment work through 2016/17, enjoys a superb panorama across the waters of Rothesay Bay to the Cowal Peninsula.
    The town’s shops, harbour and medieval castle ruins are a short pleasant walk along the palm fringed promenade. Step inside the hotel and you’ll be greeted by an air of elegance and comfort which will immediately put you at ease. Bedroom facilities include 32” flat screen TV’s, hospitality trays and toiletries. With our luxury, large single and kings size beds you’ll be guaranteed a good night’s sleep. With a wealth of outdoor pursuits on the island from fishing to bowling, walking, cycling and kayaking, and of course golf, with residents at the Glenburn enjoying a reduction of 50% on green fees at Rothesay Golf Club.
    While away your evenings socialising in the lounge bar,  take in our evening entertainment in our modern ballroom , or just sit back and read a good book in our small library, it’s up to you how you choose to relax at the Glenburn.

    Enjoy a tour across the Kyles of Bute and along the shores of Loch Eck to Dunoon, the largest town in Argyll, set on the shores of the Firth of Clyde. 

    Scalpsie Beach
    Scenic drive around the Isle of Bute

    On our scenic drive we will pass through Kilchattan Bay and pretty fishing village that sits on the edge of it. We will also pass lovely slate and stone houses and an impressive yachting marina on our way through Port Bannatyne on the way back to the hotel.
