Discover the stunning natural beauty of the Heart of Germany, where we’ll also explore charming German towns. With their historical architecture and delightful atmospheres, we’ll spend time in the towns of Wernigerode,Quedlinberg and Goslar, as well as taking a scenic drive through the Harz Mountains to visit the pretty town of Einbeck.

We’ll enjoy a wonderful holiday to the Heart of Germany, staying in Goslar-Hahnenklee at the Carea Residenz, where we’ll make the most of all inclusive accommodation. During our holiday to Germany, we’ll have two exciting excursions to look forward to, so we can discover the charming towns and beautiful scenery to be found in this part of Germany.

As we make our way to the Carea Residenz, we’ll pay a short visit to the historical town of Goslar, known for its UNESCO Old Town. We’ll then continue on to Goslar-Hahnenklee, and the next day will enjoy an excursion to the charming towns of Wernigerode and Quedlinberg. These traditional German towns boast quaint half-timbered houses, bustling market squares and picturesque scenery.

Our next included excursion will take us through the Harz Mountains on a scenic drive, so we can admire the dramatic views available here. We’ll see dense forests, impressive mountains and elegant German landscapes as we drive to Einbeck, where we’ll enjoy free time to discover the timbered houses, Renaissance architecture and historical attractions.

Day One - UK to Belgium
We’ll make our way from the UK to Belgium, via Calais, and will spend the night at a comfortable hotel.

Day Two - Belgium to Goslar-Hahnenklee
In the morning, we’ll continue our journey into Goslar-Hahnenklee, stopping in the town of Goslar for a short visit. In Goslar-Hahnenklee, we’ll stay at the Carea Residenz for the next five nights, enjoying all inclusive accommodation. (B,D)

Days Three to Six - Goslar-Hahnenklee
We’ll enjoy the next four days at our hotel, with included excursions to look forward to as well. We’ll explore the towns of Wernigerode and Quedlinberg, as well as taking a scenic drive through the Harz Mountains to Einbeck. (B,L,D)

Day Seven - Goslar-Hahnenklee to Belgium
It’s time to depart Goslar-Hahnenklee today, as we make our way back to Belgium and stay at an overnight hotel. (B,L,D)

Day Eight - Belgium to UK
We’ll return to the UK today, travelling from Antwerp via Calais and then continuing home. (B)

En Route: Goslar

We make an en route visit to the charming town of Goslar, known for its UNESCO Old Town with its medieval architecture and interesting attractions. There’s lots to see here - why not take a stroll through the town to see its many sights?


Full day: Harz Mountains

Relax and enjoy the scenery as we drive through the Harz region, a hidden treasure at the heart of Germany, with landscapes of mountains, valleys, forests and lakes. We also call at the picturesque town of Einbeck, home to beautiful medieval timber-framed architecture.


Full Day: Wernigerode and Quedlinberg

Our first stop today is quaint Wernigerode, nestled at the foot of the Harz Mountains, with an impressive medieval town centre with charming houses and dominated by a fairy-tale castle. We continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Quedlinberg, one of Europe’s best preserved renaissance and medieval towns.


Optional Excursions

Full Day: Hannover

Hannover was formerly the seat of the Hanoverian Kings of Great Britain, and is today a beautiful city with lots to see. From the famous Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen, to the stunning New Town Hall, as well as the Ernst August memorial, the Waterloo Column and many other sights. We’ll spend the day here, with time to explore at leisure.
