Full Day: Opatija
Just a short way along the coast, also nestled on the banks of the Adriatic Sea, is the lovely resort of Opatija, which we’ll visit today. Enjoy time at your leisure to soak up the beautiful architecture, seafront promenade and colourful parks.
Opatija has a number of attractions that are worth visiting, such as the Benedictine Abbey of Saint James (Opatija Sv. Jakova), and the famous statue titled ‘Maiden with the Seagull’, which can be found by the Juraj Sporer art pavilion.
Full Day: Rovinj and Porec
Discover the west side of the Istrian Peninsula as we visit charming Rovinj, with its pretty pastel coloured houses clustered along the winding streets, overlooked by the Venetian style bell tower. The historical centre is completely contained within the oval peninsula and the town and harbour are a delight to explore.
Rovinj is home to a wide range of attractions, including St. Euphemia's Basilica and the Rovinj Town Museum, and it’s also the ideal place to wander through the streets and enjoy the bustling atmosphere of the town.
From Rovinj, we’ll continue to the popular town of Porec, where you can enjoy a stroll along the two main bays, known as the Green and Blue Lagoons. There’ll also be time to see the old centre, streets, and squares.
One of the major attractions in Porec is its UNESCO World Heritage Site-designated Euphrasian Basilica, also known as the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of Mary. Why not visit the cathedral at your leisure to see the stunning mosaics and Byzantine architecture.
Boat trip to Cres
Take in the coastal scenery from the water, on our boat trip to one of Croatia’s largest islands, Cres, situated at the top of the Kvarner Gulf and boasting beautiful coves, bays and pebbled beaches. Our trip will call at Cres and Valun, with an interesting town tour in Cres, as well as an included lunch.

Umag and its surrounding riviera is a very popular destination in Croatia - the old town has attractive and narrow, cobbled streets to explore, whilst its coastline is full of pretty little bays. After time to explore, we cross the border today into Slovenia to visit picture-postcard Piran on the Adriatic coast.
