    We’ll stay in the village of  Charlecote, near Stratford-upon-Avon, at the excellent Coast & Country Charlecote Pheasant Hotel. As we make our way to our hotel, we’ll explore the elegant town of Leamington Spa, set in the heart of Warwickshire.

    Our next excursion will take us to one of the largest and most popular market events in the UK. Birmingham is transformed at this time of year, with stalls selling all manner of crafts, gifts, food and drinks. Together with a huge range of festive entertainment, this will be a special day out!

    As well as all of this, we’ll also enjoy a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon to discover this beautiful town’s sights, many of which relate to Shakespeare. Explore the historical streets of this market town, or why not visit one of the many Shakespeare attractions here?

    We make our way to the city of Birmingham today, to visit the extensive and renowned Frankfurt Christmas Markets. One of the finest and most popular markets, there are over 180 stalls offering a variety of gifts, decorations, food and drink from local traders and as far away as Africa, India and South America.

This town is famous for being Shakespeare’s hometown, and many landmarks relating to the playwright still exist here today. From his birthplace to Holy Trinity Church, where Shakespeare is buried, we’ll be able to walk in his footsteps to learn more about this fascinating literary figure.
