    Just ten minutes' walk from the town centre, the historical Pitlochry Hydro Hotel overlooks the town itself. The Pitlochry Hydro hotel offers an excellent range of facilities for visitors, including a modern, well-equipped gym and heated indoor swimming pool. Our staff will offer you a warm, friendly welcome, and ensure that your stay is as relaxing and memorable as possible. Pitlochry is a superb base for walking in the Perthshire Highlands. Ben Vrackie towers above the town, and the Cairngorm Massif is close by to the North. Loch Tummel and Loch Rannoch are also easily explored using the hotel as a base.

    Enjoy a tour and tasting at The Famous Grouse Experience, before continuing on to call at Perth, set on the banks of the River Tay.

    We take a jaunt to beautiful Blair Castle, set at the heart of the Highland Perthshire and the ancient seat of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl.

    Famous Grouse Experience and Perth

    We visit Glenturret Distillery for The Famous Grouse Experience, a unique opportunity to learn about the process that goes into produce the famous Whiskey, with an opportunity to try a drop at the end. We continue on to Perth which was Scotland’s capital during the 13th and 14th centuries. There are a number of great museums which will tell you a bit about the history of the City, or stroll around St John’s Kirk, the oldest building in Perth which has witnessed some of Scotland’s most turbulent times over more than 800 years.

    Trip to Blair Castle

    We’ll take an exciting trip to beautiful Blair Castle, set at the heart of Highland Perthshire and the ancient seat of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl and Clan Murray. Originally dating from the 13th century, this fantastic castle features important collections of items belonging to Clan Murrary, which we’ll be able to discover during our time here.
