After overnight stays in France and on near Lake Como, we head to Venice for a three night stay. Staying the heart of the city and transferring by boat through the canals to get to the hotel, we’ll stay at the Hotel Santa Marina. This is the perfect location for exploring this magnificent city yourself, from its sprawling canal network to its historical and beautiful architecture. Make sure you see the famous Doge’s Palace and the Rialto Bridge!

We’ll explore the medieval city of Verona, perhaps one of the most romantic in Italy and famous for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

We’ll continue to Bologna in the heart of Italy’s food region which is famous for Parma Ham, Parmesan cheese and Balsamic Vinegar. We’ll have the opportunity to learn how to make traditional Italian food here and enjoy lunch before continuing onto the capital city.

We’ll then stay in Rome for three nights at the Hotel Villa Carpagna. This city is bursting with history and monuments that have stood the test of time. See the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and Colosseum, and learn more about the ancient Romans with our guided tour. Why not join our optional to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel to see the world-famous painted ceiling?

Next we’ll then journey to Florence, where we stay in the Hotel Angelo-American for three nights. Florence is the Renaissance city of Italy and marries beautiful ancient buildings with a chic contemporary style. Explore the city, stroll down the banks of the River Arno, cross the Ponte Vecchio bridge and see the jewellery shops here, visit the Uffizi Art Gallery or see the iconic Duomo, or perhaps join our optional to see nearby Pisa and its Leaning Tower.

Our last Italian city is Turin where we’ll enjoy a traditional Merende Reale, a delicious hot chocolate drink, before we return home via France.
