Day One: UK to France
We join our coach, cross to Calais and continue to France for our overnight stay, stopping en route for dinner. (D)
Day Two: France to Lake Como
Journey southwards and into Italy, staying tonight at the four-star Hotel Como, a pleasant stroll from the town centre. (B,D)
Day Three: Lake Como to Venice
This morning we head to Milan for some time to explore and see the sights, including the imposing Duomo cathedral, before continuing to Venice for our three night stay at the four-star Hotel Santa Marina, just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge and St Mark’s Square. (B,D)
Day Four: Verona
Today we take a trip to the ancient city Verona, where the top attractions include Romeo & Juliet’s balcony and the impressive amphitheatre. (B,D)
Day Five: Venice
Have a day at leisure to discover the beautiful city of Venice. Built on more than 100 islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea, this is a truly unique destination, where historic buildings overlook the criss-crossed canals. (B,D)
Day Six: Venice to Bologna
Leaving Venice, we make our way to Bologna, where we enjoy an insightful city tour, followed by a traditional cooking class and lunch, then time at leisure. Tonight we stay at the central four-star Hotel Europa. (B,D)
Day Seven: Bologna to Rome
We travel to the wonderful city of Rome, where we will stay for three nights at the Hotel Villa Carpagna, giving you time to explore the many sights. (B,D)
Day Eight: Rome
This morning we join our knowledgeable guide for a tour seeing some of the key sights and learning more about the city’s history, before free time this afternoon. You may choose to prebook our optional excursion to the Vatican & Sistine Chapel. (B,D)
Day Nine: Rome
Enjoy a day to explore Rome at your own pace. Ancient ruins, such as the Colosseum, evoke the power of the former Roman Empire, whilst many pilgrims will head to awesome St Peter’s Basilica, the home of the Pope. (B,D)
Day Ten: Rome to Florence
Leaving the capital, we make our way today to the elegant city of Florence, where we stay for two nights at the four-star Hotel Anglo American. (B,D)
Day Eleven: Florence
This morning, we enjoy a guided walking tour, through the historic streets of Florence, learning about this fascinating city and seeing the main sights, including the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio bridge. (B,D)
Day Twelve: Florence
Relax today and absorb more of Renaissance Florence, or you may choose to join our optional trip to Pisa. (B,D)
Day Thirteen: Florence to Turin
We’ll arrive in Turin later this morning and enjoy an interesting guided city tour, followed by a visit to a local café to enjoy a Merende Reale, a delicious hot chocolate drink, popular in Turin. (B,D)
Day Fourteen: Turin to France
Leaving Italy behind, we head northwards into France, for our final overnight stay. (B,D)
Day Fifteen: France to UK
We make our way back to Calais and onwards home. (B)
