This Holiday is Great For
Stay on the shores of legendary Loch Lomond in the village of Tarbet surrounded by forests and magnificent mountains.
The hotel is less than a five minute walk from Tarbet Pier from where you can take a cruise over the loch to Rowardennan during which you can enjoy insurmountable views of Ben Lomond. Tarbet has a number of quaint tearooms which are a great place to enjoy a relaxing cup of tea while enjoying views over the loch.
Heading further out you can experience the stunning scenery of the Duke’s Pass on the other side of the national park, on the drive over you will have the chance to see the southern end of Loch Lohmond and the many islands that dot its surface. From Tarbet it is possible to take a day trip out to the historic city of Stirling which for many years was Scotland’s capital and one of its most important cities. Glasgow is less than an hour away by car and has a great range of architecture harking back to its glory days as a Victorian industrial city.
In the hotel’s restaurant you can enjoy fabulous sights over the surrounding countryside while eating tasty breakfast and evening meals daily. Sit down in the bar during the evening to take in great entertainment and enjoy the views over the loch from some of the hotel’s rooms. Excursion to Glasgow including Christmas Market
We take an excursion to the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow. During our visit take some time to explore the fabulous setting of St Enoch’s Square and the delightful Glasgow Christmas Market. A real global affair, the stalls have a wonderful European feel as well as far flung places like Edcuador and Russia!
Trip to Inveraray
Situated on the banks of Loch Fyne and home to the Duke of Argyll at the towns castle, Inverary is a beautiful white-walled town. As well as the grand castle, the imposing Georgian Inverary Jail is a fascinating experience, the living museum allows you the opportunity to see the re-enactment of trials and how inmates lived in the 19th century.
