Make the most of your time away with one of our exclusive Bay Inclusive Breaks. This holiday takes us to “the Gateway to the Islands,” Oban for a few days of relaxation in scenic surroundings. Included are two excursions, a scenic drive to Fort William and a day in the beautiful white-walled town of Inverary.

Day One
Travel with us from home to The Great Western Hotel in Oban where we will enjoy an evening meal following check-in. 

Days Two to Four
We will take two included excursions over our three days in Oban. First we take a trip along the shores of Loch Linnhe to visit Fort William, calling at the Highland Centre for shopping and enjoying a whisky tasting. We’ll then take a jaunt to the white-walled town of Inveraray, with its imposing castle and visiting the Isle of Seil. The other day in Oban is set aside as free time. The gateway to the Islands, Oban has a huge number of options for those who like to be outdoors. Whether it’s taking a cruise to spot wildlife around nearby islands, visiting a nearby castle or walking along the coast, you’re sure to find something to keep you entertained.

Day Five
Following breakfast at the hotel we’ll leave for home via the interchange.

The town of Oban is just a short walk away with a number of places here to sample  local produce including delicious seafood and the refined and elegant whiskeys that the region is famous for. There’s also plenty to explore in town, head up to McCaig’s Tower for a great view over the Sound of Mull, or visit Dunollie or Dunstaffage Castle to learn a little about the history of Oban.

Magnificent Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park can be easily reached from Oban and makes a great day trip. For perhaps even greater scenery though board a ferry and head out onto the islands that dot the sea off Scotland’s West Coast. Mull, the Isle of Lismore and Kerrera, just across Oban Bay all make fantastic day trips offering superb scenery and a sense of solitude and wilderness that is incomparable almost anywhere in the UK.

In the hotel enjoy fantastic views over Oban Bay while sipping a tasty drink in the bar and lounges after a long day enjoying Scotland’s natural beauty. Scenic drive to Fort William

Today we'll take a trip along the shores of stunning Loch Linnhe to the popular Highland town of Fort William calling at the Highland Centre for shopping and whisky tasting. Fort William is surrounded by spectacular scenery and getting even a little way out of town only enhances the views. Alternatively, take a cruise on Loch Linnhe, or if you want some indoor entertainment The West Highland Museum has an interesting overview of Highland history and is located in the High Street.


Trip to Inveraray

Situated on the banks of Loch Fyne and home to the Duke of Argyll at the towns castle, Inverary is a beautiful white-walled town. As well as the grand castle, the imposing Georgian Inverary Jail is a fascinating experience, the living museum allows you the opportunity to see the re-enactment of trials and how inmates lived in the 19th century.
