For a fun New Year break, come with us as we visit some of Holland and nearby Belgium’s best-loved destinations and stay in the attractive city of Eindhoven at the Hotel Van der Valk. As well as celebrating the New Year with a party at our hotel, complete with a gala dinner, we’ll also spend time visiting nearby cities to explore all these excellent locations have to offer.

For example, our first excursion will take us to Antwerp, where we’ll enjoy free time spent in this Belgian city. Antwerp is absolutely packed with excellent sights, and there will be more than enough to do there to keep us busy for a full day.

We’ll also head to Amsterdam, the unique capital city of the Netherlands. This city is lively and exciting, and there will be lots to see and do there. Before we finish our holiday, we’ll also visit the ancient Nijmegen, which is one of the oldest cities in the whole of Holland.

Package includes three live cooking buffet evening meals including drinks, New Years Eve party with live music in Ozzo Bar from 10pm-1am including drinks from 10pm.

Day One - UK to Eindhoven
On the first day of our holiday, we’ll be collected from our local joining points and will then travel to Dover by coach. Onwards to Calais, we’ll then travel to Eindhoven and will arrive at the Hotel Van der Valk.

Day Two to Four - Eindhoven
In Eindhoven, we’ll be able to travel to some of the nearby cities in order to enjoy a fantastic New Year break. We will visit the stunning city of Amsterdam famous for museums such as the Rijksmuseum or Anne Franks House. Wander the famous tree lined canals or enjoy a canal cruise to see the the city from a different perspective. We will also cross the border into Belgium and visit fashionable Antwerp before enjoying some free time in Nijmegen, one of the oldest cities in Holland. (B,D)

Day Five - Eindhoven to UK
Following a fantastic holiday, we’ll travel back to Calais. Then we’ll be returned to our local joining points in the UK. (B)

Full Day: Amsterdam

As Holland’s capital city, Amsterdam is guaranteed to be a fantastic place to visit during our New Year break. The city is famous for its expansive canal system and many bridged islands, for which it’s earned the name ‘Venice of the North’. This bustling city will be a highlight on our holiday, as it is absolutely packed with things to do. 

The Museum Square, or ‘Museumplein’, is home to some of the most significant museums in the city, such as the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and Stedelijk Museum. All three are well worth touring in our spare time in the city, and there’s also the Anne Frank House and the Civic Guards Gallery, as well as many other exhibits and sights.


Full Day: Antwerp

Antwerp, with its attractive architecture and excellent history is a fantastic place to visit, and we’re sure to enjoy our day spent there. We’ll be able to look forward to everything from shopping to visiting attractions, and there’ll be time to enjoy lunch at one of the many cafes or restaurants in the city as well.

There are a number of ‘must-see’ sights in the city, such as the Cathedral of Our Lady, Rubens House, the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS) and the Museum Plantin-Moretus. We’ll be able to tour some of these attractions during our stay in the city, and will also be able to wander through the streets admiring the pretty architecture.


Half Day: Nijmegen

Known for being one of the oldest cities in Holland, Nijmegen is thought to be over 2,000 years old and, as such, has a number of fantastic attractions that will make our half day spent there absolutely excellent.

The city has a number of attractive parks, such as the Goffertpark, Kronenburgerpark, Valkhof Park and Park West at Hees, and some interesting museums. These include those such as the Valkhof Museum of Roman and medieval history, the Velorama Bicycle Museum, the Bevrijdingsmuseum World War II museum and the Nature Museum Nijmegen.

Amsterdam Canal Cruise And Guided City Tour

As Amsterdam is known for its canals, we’ll be able to enjoy a canal cruise while we’re visiting. This will allow us to explore the city along another avenue, and will also give us a chance to learn more about the city’s history. Alongside this, we’ll also be offered a guided city tour, which will give us an opportunity to find out even more about Amsterdam, as well as to see some of the city’s most famous sights.



While in Antwerp on our holiday, we’ll be given the opportunity to also visit the pretty city of Ghent in Belgium. This medieval city features some lovely architecture and has many attractive buildings that we’ll be able to admire during our time there.

For example, the historical centre of the city is home to the Old Post Office, Saint-Nicholas Church, the Belfry, and Saint Bavo Cathedral, all of which are well worth visiting.
