Enter a land of adventure at Longleat – where lions roam, tigers stalk and monkeys swing. Travel through time in the grand stately home. Lose yourself in one of the magical mazes. From our base in the traditional seaside town of Weston-super-Mare we’ll enjoy a fantastic day out to Longleat including a drive through the Safari Park and exploring the stately home.
We depart and travel to Weston-super-Mare where we check into The Grand Atlantic and enjoy our evening meal. (D)
Tuesday to Thursday
Enjoy two included excursions by coach with entry to Longleat including a drive through the Safari Park and a trip to nearby Street. You’ll also have free time to explore Weston-super-Mare, a classic seaside town with plenty of attractions for all the family. On the town’s two piers there are dodgems, ten pin bowling and arcades, the Weston Wheel gives great views across the town and the Irish Sea and of course the beach has golden sands and is a great place to relax and take in some sun. Grand Atlantic Hotel
Stay with us at a hotel that harks back to the glory days of the traditional British seaside resort in the beautiful and imposing turreted Grand Atlantic Hotel.
The hotel is located in the heart of Weston-super-Mare, just off Marine Parade, with spectacular views over the sea. The Grand Pier is just a five minute walk away along the pretty streets, lined with cafes, pubs and restaurants.
Weston-super-Mare train station is just a 10 minute walk away and from there you can get a direct connection to Bristol in just half an hour. Or explore the majesty of the Mendip Hills which begin just outside of town, the pretty town of Cheddar can be reached by a half hour drive or hour long bus ride.
In the hotel you can enjoy delicious meals from a varied menu all prepared by our wonderful chefs and served in our modern restaurant. The hotel also has multiple room options including superb superior and standard plus rooms which offer even more comfort and space as well as spectacular views out over the water.
Full Day: Longleat House and Safari Park
Excursion to majestic Longleat. This beautiful stately home is set in magnificent landscaped parkland and there is so much to discover indoors as well as outdoors! We’ll also take a drive through the famous Safari Park which opened in 1966 as the very first Safari Park outside of Africa and was the focus of the popular BBC programme Animal Park.
Half Day: Street
We take a trip to the beautiful village of Street, set in the heart of Somerset, in stunning countryside. You�ll have free time to explore the village which has a beautiful lido with a splash pool play area, water jets and spray fountains, a great option if the weather is playing ball!
