Oban, Isle of Mull and Tobermory

Enjoy a visit to the picture-postcard town of Tobermory on the magical Isle of Mull and take in the magnificent surrounding scenery from our base in Oban, Scotland's favourite West Highland resort. We’ll also visit the charming town of Fort William, which offers spectacular rolling landscapes, dramatic hills and fantastic attractions.

5 Day Itinerary

  • Day 1:

    Local departure by coach or Home Connect service then on to Oban for a four-night stay.

  • Day 2: Isle of Mull and Tobermory*

    Today we enjoy a trip to the beautiful Isle of Mull. Here we discover picture-postcard Tobermory, where the beautiful bay is framed by brightly coloured buildings and high wooded hills.

    One of the prettiest ports in Scotland, legend has it one of the Spanish Armada ships sank in the sheltered bay, carrying gold bullion treasures! With quaint shops and cafes, a fascinating museum and a distillery, there’s plenty to see and do here.

  • Day 3: Day at leisure or Glencoe Visitor Centre

    Enjoy a day at leisure in Oban - relax at the hotel, maybe head to the Oban Distillery or take the steep walk up to McCaig's Folly to enjoy stunning views of the harbour and the islands beyond.

    Alternatively, join our optional excursion to the Glencoe Visitor Centre. Nestled into the spectacular landscape at the foot of the glen, here you will find an interesting exhibition telling the wonderful stories of this epic region, a delightful cafe and a spectacular viewing platform for some stunning photo opportunities!

  • Day 4: Fort William

    Today we follow the Argyll Coastal Route along the coast to reach the popular Highland town of Fort William – the 'outdoor capital of the UK'.

    Overlooking Loch Linnhe and in the shadow of mighty Ben Nevis, there is a real outdoor feel here and the town is the start/end of the iconic West Highland Way walking route.

Important Note: Our excursion to the Isle of Mull is subject to cancellation due to operational and/or inclement weather conditions. The itinerary may be rearranged in order to make the trip on an alternative day if necessary. If we are unable to operate the excursion an alternative may be offered.
