Day One - UK to Malgrat de Mar
In the morning of day one, we’ll make the journey from the UK to Malgrat de Mar, which will see us travelling via Calais. From there, we’ll travel through the night on our overnight express coach to arrive at the Hotel Monteplaya in Malgrat de Mar.
Day Two – Arrive in Malgrat de Mar
We arrive in Malgrat de Mar late morning have time to settle into our hotel for our first night in resort. (D)
Day Three to Seven - Malgrat de Mar
We’ll spend another five nights in the wonderful Malgrat de Mar, enjoying two included excursions during our time there and spending our days relaxing in the sunshine. (B,D)
Day Eight - Malgrat de Mar to Calais
As our holiday draws to a close, we’ll say goodbye to Malgrat de Mar and will travel to Calais. (B)
Day Nine - Calais to UK
We’ll then return to the UK via Calais, and will then take the coach back to our local joining points.
Hotel Sumus Monteplaya

All Standard rooms have been upgraded for 2017 and feature twin or double bed, air conditioning, a large shower, flat screen satellite TV, mini-fridge, safety deposit box (local charge), phone, hairdryer free Wi-Fi and furnished balcony with Garden or Side view.
Why not upgrade to a Superior room as per standard with beach towels/beach umbrella supplied, coffee/tea making facilities, free safety deposit box and furnished balcony with Pool or Front view.
Full Day: Barcelona
Barcelona is the fourth most visited in city in Europe and is a lively and exciting place to discover. Especially remarkable is the work of architect Antoni Gaudí, which can be seen throughout the city. His best-known work is the unfinished church of the Sagrada Família, which has been under construction since 1882.
Half Day: Local Market
We take a trip down the Costa Brava to the town of Blanes. The local markets here are full of vibrancy and charm with a huge number of different stalls selling a wide range of produce. The fruit and vegetable markets are where farmers come from across Catalonia in order to sell their produce, the most popular crops in the region are apples, pears and peaches. There is also a fresh fish market near the harbour and an indoor market which sells a variety of souvenirs and trinkets. If you're not interested in retail therapy, the town has a charming marina and makes for a lovely place to stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere.
Barcelona Sightseeing Tour
Discover some of Barcelona’s very best attractions and landmarks during our exciting sightseeing tour, so you can see more of this incredible city. Drive through the city and learn more about the Catalonian capital’s interesting history while admiring its beautiful sights. From Gaudi’s famous architecture to the city’s bustling shopping districts and historical attractions, we’ll get to explore further with our sightseeing tour.
Barcelona Fountains By Night
One of Barcelona’s main attractions is the Magic Fountain of Montjuic. This fantastic fountain can be found in the Montjuic neighbourhood and is located below the elegant steps up to the Palau Nacional on Montjuic hill.
In the evenings, this fountain is transformed into a magnificent light and water show, with music to accompany this spectacular performance.

Beaslu was an important town during the Middle Ages with its territory extending as far as France and being designated a historic national property by the Spanish government in 1966. The town is particularly famous for its 12th century bridge over the Fluvia River. It is a great place to wander through history with a number of buildings dating back almost 1000 years, still laid out in their original street configuration.
Girona is one of Catalonia’s major cities, and our trip here will be spent at leisure, so we can discover this excellent location to our hearts’ content. With lots of sights to enjoy, we’re sure to be kept busy during our visit!
There are the ancient city walls and towers, which mark the entrance to Girona’s Old Town, plus Girona Cathedral, dating from 1015. This cathedral is home to the world’s widest Gothic nave, although it isn’t the only prominent religious building in Girona - there’s also the Sant Pere de Galligants church, and the Collegiate Church of Sant Feliu.
