UNESCO World Heritage Site

Volcanic Eruption
Giant’s Causeway is nature’s masterpiece, with basalt columns created by an ancient volcanic eruption! As lava oozed from the earth’s cracks, it cooled into a collection of 40,000 columns. The result? A breathtaking sight that rises from the sea like something straight out of a legend!
The Legend
The tale goes that Finn McCool, the Irish giant, built the Giant’s Causeway to face off against Benandonner, his Scottish counterpart! Finn whipped up the impressive pathway, but when Benandonner realized how gigantic Finn truly was, he fled in a panic, leaving the Causeway crumbling behind him.
