Laxey

Coastline

Laxey: the picturesque village along the east coast that’s as lovely as a postcard! Its harbour, though small, packs a big punch in beauty. Surrounded by lush greenery and a splash of colourful homes, the harbour is just a stone’s throw from the sandy beach.

History

Known as the vintage railway capital, Laxey brings history to life! It proudly serves as a stop on the Manx Electric Railway, where Victorian and Edwardian trains chug along. And let’s not forget the pièce de resistance – the Great Laxey Wheel – the world’s largest original working waterwheel!

Snaefell Mountain Railway

All aboard for a breathtaking journey to the summit of Snaefell, the highest mountain on the Isle of Man! And from the top, as you gaze out over the shimmering ocean, keep your eyes peeled – you might spot England, Scotland, or Wales!
