Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then we board the ferry to the Isle of Man*, and on to our hotel in Ramsey for four nights.
Jaunt travelling along the coast by way of Laxey, to Douglas. The capital of the Isle of Man since 1869, Douglas is the island's main commercial centre and home to the legislative buildings of its ancient parliament, Tynwald. The magnificent sweep of Douglas Bay, set against the backdrop of green hills is a sight to behold, and the town centre is home to plenty of shops and little cafés.
We return beneath the peak of Snaefell Mountain - the Isle of Man's highest mountain and the only summit above 2000ft on the island.
Enjoy a day to relax in resort with a day at leisure. Ramsey is the second largest town on the island and is home to many tourist and leisure attractions, plus delightful shops and cafés.
Or, why not join our optional excursion to Peel, which has connections with the island’s rich Celtic, Viking, and maritime past. Try the world-famous Manx Kippers, eat some of the best ice-cream on the island or explore the magnificent ruins of Peel Castle - the choice is yours!

This optional excursion is available to pre-book or you can book during your tour.
Today we take a heritage-filled tour of the southern parts of the island. We travel to Castletown - the ancient capital of Mann, before heading to Cregneash to visit the Village Folk Museum, a fascinating and unique living museum.
We will also enjoy the views of the Calf of Man - located amidst spectacular scenery, just half-a-mile off the main island and home to around 33 species of seabirds.
Today we board the ferry for our return journey, then return home.
* Sailings to/from the Isle of Man will usually operate from Heysham to Douglas. For operational reasons it may be necessary to make the crossing by alternative routes and may be made as foot passengers.

Very interesting holiday giving an excellent impression of the Isle. Hotel comfortable and attractive location. Driver/ guide had wealth of knowledge about Isle of Man,which he obviously loved. Only downside was a misjudgement at the end in keeping a coach load of people waiting in blazing heat for fifty minutes for two delayed passengers .

Well organised tour that pretty much runs to schedule and offers comprehensive coverage of the island, including places not mentioned in the itinerary. According to the locals, the hotel is the best in Ramsey and new compared to the dated hotels in Douglas. There were 5 other coach companies on the ferry with us, also there for a week, and chatting to some of their passengers, Shearings seemed to offer very good value for money indeed.

Visits were interesting if a little rushed. Hotel was well situated with excellent views. The rooms were clean & well equipped. There was an evident shortage of kitchen & service staff which resulted in a moderated standard of food.
