Winter Wonderland in the Austrian Lakes

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then to our overnight hotel in Belgium.

Continuing south, we travel through Germany and into Austria to reach our hotel in the Austrian Lake District for four nights.

Sit back and enjoy our scenic trip today as we call at the lovely spa town of Bad Ischl, close to some of the most beautiful lakes in Austria. We continue to the pretty village of Hallstatt, set on the banks of Lake Hallstatt, and dotted with charming pastel-coloured houses.

Hallstatt is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site for its beauty, but also its significance in natural salt resources, which helped the area to prosper in an otherwise untamed landscape.

We will take an included excursion to Salzburg, with free time to explore the city at leisure. Admire the Old Town’s beautiful Baroque architecture, and be left in awe by the background of mountainous scenery.

We will also have an optional guided walking tour to enjoy, so we can find out more about this remarkable city’s history.
