Trip travelling northwards to visit the market town of Keswick on the shores of beautiful Derwentwater and calling at Grasmere, which lies at the very heart of the beautiful Lake District.
In the heart of charming Grasmere, you'll find the tiny Sarah Nelson Gingerbread Shop located in the grounds of the pretty parish church - made to a top-secret recipe, this sweet treat is popular with visitors - don't be put off by the queue!
Enjoy a day at leisure where you can relax at the hotel or why not join our optional excursion to Penrith with its cosy pubs and quaint tea rooms. This historic market town is a delight to explore with cobbled lanes and a wealth of independent shops.

Today we visit charming Coniston, in the shadow of the Old Man of Coniston, which rises dramatically over the historic village. This beautiful village provided inspiration to Arthur Ransome in his writing of the popular book Swallows & Amazons.
We continue onto Ambleside, situated at the head of Lake Windermere and board Windermere Cruises to sail to the pretty village of Bowness-on-Windermere, one of the most popular spots in the Lake District
Return home.

In the afternoon we will stop at Ullswater which is the second largest lake in the Lake District at 7.5miles long.

Today we enjoy one of the highlights of our tour with a visit to Lake Windermere. First we will stop at Bowness-on-Windermere which is one of the most popular spots on the lake. There will be time to explore the lake front and boutique shops and cafes before its time to board our cruise.
Watch the stunning scenery go by as you sail on Lake Windermere towards the top of the lake at Ambleside, Once we disembark you will have some free time to explore the high street in Ambleside before we return to the hotel.
Please note the day may operate in reverse, with the cruise from Ambleside to Bowness instead.
Return home.
You will stay for four nights at the 3-star Windermere Hotel or the 3-star Damson Dene Hotel near Windermere.

Well organised coach transfer, tour driver was excellent the hotel staff were lovely and breakfast and dinner was brilliant. Hotel good. What more can you ask for, no worries about driving, excursions organised breakfast and dinner sorted. Lovely would do a coach tour again. Steve the tour driver was excellent, thank you.
