The rooms were clean. The staff were friendly and polite. The situation of the hotel was very convenient for the railway station and the bus station, which made visiting other parts of the Lake District relatively easy.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The hotel itself is dated in places. However, the rooms that we were upgraded to, had a modern decor and vibe. We found, since our last visit (2019), that the quality of of the food served at Evening Dinner was not as good as we had previously enjoyed.
