Windermere and Festive Cruise Weekend

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to the Windermere Hotel for three nights. We enjoy a tea, coffee or mulled wine with a festive treat on arrival to get us into the spirit of the season.

Today starts with a visit to the pretty town of Ambleside, home to plenty of quaint shops and cosy cafés. From here, we’ll embark on a cruise along the waters of Lake Windermere, taking in the breathtaking scenery whilst enjoying a mulled wine and mince pie. Departing at Bowness-on-Windermere, you’ll have some free time to explore this charming town.

We return back to the hotel in time for our Christmas dinner, complete with a complimentary glass of wine.

Nestled on the shores of beautiful Derwentwater, Keswick is a pretty market town which boasts an array of independent shops, charming cafés and fascinating museums. We’ll also visit Grasmere, which is famous for its association with William Wordsworth.

We return to the hotel for a festive cream tea.
