ABOUT THE TOUR
A magnificent Victorian walled garden set in acres of woodland, Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens has its own unique micro-climate which enables rare and exotic species to thrive. We also visit The Blue Pool and Swanage, with the opportunity to explore bustling Bridport and West Bay too.
TOUR INCLUDES
Day 1:
Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to the Royal Hotel, Weymouth for four nights.

Day 2: Jurassic Coast and Subtropical Abbotsbury
Follow the beautiful Jurassic Coast and visit pretty West Bay and Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens – a splendid garden filled with rare and exotic plants from all over the world! The Sunken Garden and nature trail are worth exploring, alternatively enjoy a cup of tea in the colonial style teahouse!

Day 3: Day at leisure or Dorchester
Relax at your own pace in Weymouth or why not join our optional trip to nearby Dorchester, the county town of Dorset? As the birthplace of famous author Thomas Hardy there's plenty here that inspired his literature.

Day 4: The Blue Pool and Swanage
Set in a deep clay bowl, The Blue Pool is surrounded by acres of heath and woodland which can be explored on the walking routes around this special place. Later in the day we visit seaside Swanage.

Return home.

Formerly a Bay Hotel, The Royal Hotel commands an unrivalled position right on Weymouth’s seafront with the town’s beach just across the promenade and a wealth of shops, boutique cafes and bars and quality restaurants just a short walk away. Weymouth has a number of great attractions with Nothe Fort an easy walk from the hotel which has various exhibitions throughout the year. The hotel’s restaurant and bar offer great views of the promenade and are a great place for people watching.
