Weymouth and Subtropical Abbotsbury

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to the Royal Hotel, Weymouth for seven nights.

First we call at nearby Dorchester, the county town of Dorset. As the birthplace of famous author Thomas Hardy there's plenty here that inspired his literature.

We then visit Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens – a splendid garden filled with rare and exotic plants from all over the world! The Sunken Garden and nature trail are worth exploring, or alternatively you can enjoy a cup of tea in the colonial style teahouse!

Journey through some of the local villages, places of interest and spectacular scenery associated with Lawrence of Arabia. He spent his final years in Dorset and lies at Moreton cemetery and was a controversial and enigmatic hero of the First World War.

Relax in Weymouth, or join our optional excursion to bustling Bridport and West Bay, situated on the Jurassic Coast and recently featured in the popular television drama 'Broadchurch'.

Today we will visit the Isle of Purbeck, passing through quaint Corfe Castle to reach seaside Swanage. Discover a lovely, sandy beach and lots of attractions, such as the Swanage Museum which tells the story of the area from the Jurassic period to WWII.

We take a trip to the coastal town of Bournemouth. Home to 7 miles of unspoilt sandy beaches and many shops, cafés, restaurants and amusements, it’s the perfect place for a traditional seaside holiday.
