ABOUT THE TOUR
Set on a breathtaking Georgian bay, with sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, Weymouth is a firm favourite and a great base from which to explore the delights of Dorset. Brimming with attractions, we take in the charms of Poole, Swanage, Dorchester and Bridport, before rounding off the tour in quaint Abbotsbury. With the chance to also discover one of Britain’s most-loved holiday resorts, Bournemouth, this tour is a must!
TOUR INCLUDES
Day 1:
Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to Weymouth for a four-night stay.

Day 2: Poole and Swanage
A resort for all seasons, Poole is a home to award-winning beaches and a historic old town with sea-faring tales to be told.
Later in the day we'll continue to seaside Swanage, passing through quaint Corfe Castle on the way. Swanage has lots of attractions including the Swanage Museum (entry not included), which tells the story of the area from the Jurassic period to World War II.

Day 3: Day at leisure or Bournemouth
Relax and explore Weymouth at leisure. With award-winning beaches, Georgian grandeur and a bustling harbour, there's so much to see and do!
Or, perhaps join our optional excursion to Bournemouth – one of Britain's best-loved holiday resorts with a multitude of attractions, sandy beaches and a glorious pier. Nestled in a sheltered bay on the South Coast, Bournemouth boasts museums, galleries, activities, sightseeing and and plenty of shopping.

Day 4: Dorchester, Bridport and Abbotsbury
Today we travel to Dorchester, the county town of Dorset and the birthplace of author Thomas Hardy.
We'll continue to Bridport, a vibrant town with a fascinating antiques quarter, before following the coast along magnificent Chesil Beach and calling at Abbotsbury. This historic village sits in a secluded valley, sheltered by the Ridgeway Hills and there is a range of interesting and independent shops to be discovered here, along with charming cafés and eateries.

You will stay for four nights at the 3-star Royal Hotel in Weymouth.
The Royal Hotel is a Grade II listed building, commanding an unrivalled position right on Weymouth’s seafront. This beautiful late-Victorian hotel is just a short walk away from a wealth of shops, independent cafés, bars and quality restaurants. After a day in Weymouth, enjoy a drink in the inviting bar or cosy lounge and admire the brilliant views of the promenade, ideal for watching the world go by. If you’d rather have a night in, head to the hotel restaurant where you will be greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere, as well as seasonal menus that are sure to delight!
