Your day begins with a round trip of Thuringian Forest including the very first Bratwurst Museum. Afterwards, we continue to Wartburg Castle. High above the town of Eisenach towers the imposing Wartburg Castle, the former residence of the Thuringian Nobles. It was here, Martin Luther translated the New Testament into German. It has since held UNESCO Heritage from 1999 and its history and intrigue can be found all across the castle grounds. We then return to the hotel for the evening dinner as well as evening entertainment.

We head to Erfurt, the capital of Thuringia. Located at the crossroads of two ancient trading routes, Erfurt expanded during the Middle Ages to become a powerful centre of trade and learning and was the location for the studies of Martin Luther. Erfurt today remains the largest city in Thuringia and you learn more on our optional guided tour. This afternoon, return to Oberhof and there is an opportunity to visit the famous Oberhof sports facilities on our optional tour. An experienced biathlete will tell you interesting and amusing facts about the winter sports.

Weimar, where ideas and art works originated that later spread around the world. On our optional guided tour, discover the great names from the German past are always nearby in Weimar. Such names as Goethe, Schiller, Bach and Liszt.
