Enjoy a drive with the romantic steam train to the most famous place of pilgrimage in Austria – Mariazell. When you visit the Mariazeller Advent, childhood memories are awakened to this special time of the year. There is so much to experience at the largest traditional Christmas market of Austria!
Enjoy a day of sightseeing in Vienna! Discover the most important landmarks on a panoramic city tour by coach, including the Parliament, Opera, City Hall and Hofburg, which are all lined up on the famous ‘Ring’ Boulevard. We’ll also explore the riverside of the Danube – the home of the UN Headquarters.
In the afternoon, we visit Schönbrunn – the 'Versailles' of Vienna – and the elegant Christmas market in front of the castle.
The Vienna Woods offer many sights to experience. Discover the Abbey at Heiligenkreuz, which is known for its Gregorian Hymns that are sung each day at midday by the monks.
A visit to the spa town of Baden in the southern Vienna Woods is also highly recommended, famous for its pretty Biedermeier houses.
Enjoy a farewell dinner at a Heurigen in Gumpoldskirchen before returning to the hotel.
We leave Austria and head back towards Belgium for an overnight stay.
