Hotel is in very nice location. Hotel staff very welcoming and friendly. Booked a double room, but given a twin room - fortunately this was rectified by the hotel. Rooms are tired and in need of refurbishment. Not happy about having the included evening meal service cancelled less than a week prior to departure, and then having to discuss the level of compensation for this with call centre. Car parking at the hotel is expensive at £6 per day, particularly bearing in mind that overnight on street parking by the hotel is free, and daily public car parking is also cheaper

A super location and very high standards from the staff. A free upgrade to a superior seaview room coupled with excellent food and service. An excellent enjoyable short break ... we will be returning.

Arrived at hotel late but was not informed about the absence of any room cleaning. Only found out when we complained about this the next day. As requested they did provide towels and tea/coffee refills but just the once. Never happened again!! Hotel blamed it on staff shortages. Why we not informed about this prior to our visit? The evening meal was strange at times and nothing to write home about. The two waiters were rushed off their feet as there was a coach party in. They did really well and should be commended. Overall it was a little better than when we last visited some years ago. I object playing for something you never get. Complained to Shearing but of course never had a reply!

Very welcoming staff and lovely hotel. I would recommend this to anyone. Also, staff accommodated for guests with dogs and seemed welcoming. Only improvement I could recommend is that there be entertainment all evenings.
