Lynton is a small, charming town in an idyllic location on North Devon’s Exmoor Coast, providing the perfect surroundings for a relaxing and restful break away from it all. Lynton holidays are best known for the amazing water-powered cliff railway, which links Lynton with the village of Lynmouth below. Guests can ride between the two destinations via this funicular system and take in the key highlights of both of these unique twin locations. North Devon is a haven of peace and tranquillity, combining ancient woodland, stunning open moorland and breathtaking coastlines. Boat trips depart regularly from Lynmouth Quay allowing you to discover hidden coves, and there are beautiful National Trust properties to explore along the coast, including Watersmeet and the ancient Dunster Castle. Rail enthusiasts can journey back in time on the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway, which travels through spectacular countryside, and nearby Exmoor National Park is perfect for walking and cycling; this wild landscape of dark moorland has more than 1000km of paths to enjoy.

Lovely communal areas and dining room. Very good food. The bedroom was very tired and the bathroom not very well cleaned. The windows wouldn’t shut properly and the water was either too hot or too cold but the staff tried to help. The staff were are very nice and helpful. Not sure I would stay there again.

The hotel was nice, it was clean and tidy. Central location in pretty little town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. BUT …..the food was poor, very poor! The hotel had very few guests and the meals were awful,I can’t imagine how they will cope when coach loads of people arrive!
