The presents are unwrapped and the turkey has been eaten, but that doesn’t mean the festive spirit doesn’t live on! Enjoy the period in between Christmas and New Year, known as Twixmas in Whitby, with its pretty harbour, Abbey ruins and quaint riverside buildings.

Local departure by coach, then on to Whitby and our hotel for three nights.
Today we take a trip to the majestic city of York. York has a rich history and many museums celebrating it, such as the Jorvik Viking Centre, the National Railway Museum telling of 300 years of railway history, and the Chocolate Story which tells of the many famous sweet brands associated with the city. York Minster’s impressive Gothic architecture dominates the city as one of the largest cathedrals in Northern Europe, and The Shambles are always worth a visit, with its over-hanging timber-framed houses and traditional shopfronts. Browse York’s many shops, from high street favourites to quirky and independent boutiques, along with excellent cafés, pubs and restaurants.
Relax in Whitby, or join our optional excursion with a scenic drive through the stunning North York Moors. Dotted along the Moors are quaint market towns and pretty villages and we visit some of the most picturesque.
The optional excursions will be available to book during your tour.
Prices are per person and are subject to change. Payment will be in sterling (cash payments only).
