The presents are unwrapped and the turkey has been eaten, but that doesn’t mean the festive spirit doesn’t live on! Enjoy the period in between Christmas and New Year, known as Twixmas in the delightful resort of Eastbourne sheltered by the rolling South Downs, with lines of colourful deckchairs along the promenade.

Local departure by coach or home connect service, then on to Eastbourne and our hotel for three nights.
Today we visit Brighton, a popular seaside resort offering a wonderful mix of Regency heritage and specialist shops. It is famous for its unusual Royal Pavillion, which was built by King George IV in a beautiful Indian and Oriental style. Brighton is also home to one of Britain’s oldest cinemas, the Duke of York’s Picture House, and the Brighton Dome concert hall which was the location of the Eurovision song contest where ABBA won with ‘Waterloo’ in 1974. Its cosmopolitan nature attracts all kinds of shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants - perfect to do a little shopping in the post-Christmas sales or to simply enjoy the coastal views across the pebbled beach!
Relax in Eastbourne, or join our optional excursion to Royal Tunbridge Wells. This historic spa town is equal distance between London and the coast and has attracted visitors for hundreds of years. It lies in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in unspoilt countryside known as the Garden of England. Named Tunbridge Wells originally due to the natural spring here, then in 1909 Edward VII honoured the town with the Royal prefix as a testament to his mother, Queen Victoria, who loved the town
