Christmas comes early on a Turkey & Tinsel break! Enjoy the festive season twice this year with mulled wine on arrival, Christmas dinner with a complimentary drink, and a festive cream tea one day. Get into the festive spirit in Sandown on the Isle of Wight, with its pretty promenade and Victorian Pier.

5 Day Itinerary

  • Day 1:

    Local departure by coach, then via ferry to the Isle of Wight and onto Sandown and our hotel for four nights. We enjoy a tea, coffee or mulled wine with a festive treat on arrival to get us into the spirit of the season.

  • Day 2: Alum Bay and Yarmouth

    Today we’ll explore the ‘diamond isle’ on a scenic tour. We’ll call at Alum Bay, famous for its coloured sands, and the nearby magnificent chalks Needles, the remains of a ridge which once joined the island the mainland. We also visit pretty Yarmouth, a bustling town with a natural harbour. We also visit Yarmouth, filled with a range of quaint cafes, shop and galleries and the main square is overlooked by a stunning 17th century church. Stroll down Yarmouth Pier and enjoy the stunning view. We return back to the hotel in time for our 'Christmas Dinner' complete with a complimentary glass of wine.

  • Day 3: Day at leisure or Godshill

    Relax in Sandown or join our optional excursion to pretty Godshill. This quintessential village is postcard-perfect with thatched cottages clustered around a typical English church and winding street lined with traditional tearooms.

  • Day 4: Ryde

    This morning we take a trip to Ryde, once much loved by Queen Victoria when she used to holiday on the island with Victorian architecture still around the town. At the heart of the town is a fantastic range of independent and eclectic shops, including a year-round Christmas store! We return to the hotel for a festive cream tea.
