Turkey & Tinsel in Torquay

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to Torquay and our hotel for four nights. We enjoy a pre-dinner glass of mulled wine then leisurely dinner followed by top class entertainment.

Today we travel via the beautiful Teign Valley to reach the city of Exeter. Pre-dating the arrival of the Romans, Exeter has a rich and long history and has a wealth of attractions celebrating this, from its imposing Roman wall to its magnificent, Gothic cathedral and the Royal Albert Memorial Museum. Stroll along the beautiful Quayside or discover the shops, boutiques and cafés on the cobbled Gandy Street - perfect to do a little festive shopping! There is also a chance to enjoy Exeter Christmas Market which is located around the cathedral area.

We return back to the hotel in time for our 'Christmas Dinner' followed by coffee and mince pie then an evening of superb entertainment.

Relax in at your hotel, or join our optional excursion to Plymouth, bursting with maritime heritage and modern amenities. Known as Britain’s Ocean City, Plymouth has one of Europe’s most vibrant waterfronts. Explore its history, from Sir Frances Drake and the Spanish Amada to the Mayflower sailing in 1620, or enjoy its modern and cosmopolitan culture with trendy shops and bars. Why not visit the Barbican for quaint cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour. The city also holds a Christmas market in the first two weeks of December.

Enjoy dinner in the hotel followed by entertainment.

This morning we visit the stunning coastal town of Teignmouth. Hugging the shore where the River Teign meets the sea, Teignmouth is a traditional seaside resort with a classic Victorian pier and small fishing port.

We return to the hotel to get ready for another evening with a pre dinner glass of fizz and then entertainment.

We depart the hotel this morning full of festive cheer and return home.
