Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to Newquay for four nights. We enjoy a tea, coffee or mulled wine with a festive treat on arrival to get us into the spirit of the season.
This morning, we enjoy some time to relax before an afternoon visit to Truro. Visit the beautiful cathedral or wander the festive market around Lemon Quay and enjoy a hot chocolate. Pick up some local Cornish produce or enjoy a festive treat.
We return back to the hotel in time for dinner and evening entertainment.
This morning, we drive over imposing Bodmin Moor. Steeped in history and boasting countless ancient monuments, the area and has gained notoriety with tales of the ‘Beast of Bodmin’ that is supposed to roam the hills.
The highlight of today will an included visit to Bodmin Jail. Built in 1779, the jail is a landmark site that guides visitors to explore Cornwall's historic past and the jail’s dark, fascinating legacy. The attraction is fully accessible and has a café and interesting gift shop. We return to the hotel with plenty of time to get ready for ‘Christmas dinner’, which will be followed by evening entertainment.
The highlight of our holiday awaits today – the Eden Project. Enjoy lunch at the hotel before we begin our exploration of this world-famous attraction. To fully appreciate the light display, we’ll visit later in the day. With hundreds of suspended fibre optic lights, glistening orbs, lasers and sparkling lights adoring the biomes, you’ll be transported to an enchanting forest world.
We depart the hotel this morning full of festive cheer and return home.
Please note that if the Eden Project at Christmas Lights are rescheduled or cancelled, the excursion will be to Eden Project during the day. Turkey & Tinsel package is subject to change and may be on different days.
