Local departure by coach, then on to Great Yarmouth and our hotel for four nights. We enjoy a tea, coffee or mulled wine with a festive treat on arrival to get us into the spirit of the season.
Relax in Great Yarmouth or join our optional excursion to Cromer, the ‘Gem of the Norfolk Coast’. Once a small fishing village and now a traditional seaside resort. Stroll down its Victorian pier, which has withstood many storms and even an attempt to blow it up by the Government in WWII to prevent it being used as a landing strip for enemy invaders! Why not sample the famous Cromer crab, a local delicacy? You can also discover the town’s maritime history at the Lifeboat Museum and Cromer Museum.

Day 3: Cromer
This optional excursion is available to pre-book or you can book during your tour.
This morning we visit historic Norwich where, in this truly English city, it is still a pleasure to wander among the medieval streets, particularly cobbled Elm Hill, which is full of character. Norwich is the most complete medieval city in the UK, the only city in a National Park, and was England’s first UNESCO City of Literature. It is of course also famous for Alan Partridge, Steve Coogan’s comedic character presenting Radio Norwich. There is also Norwich Market, open six days a week, as well as two shopping centres and four department stores. We return to the hotel for a festive cream tea.
We depart the hotel this morning full of festive cheer and return home.
