Local departure by coach, then on to Great Yarmouth and our hotel for four nights.
Today we head to Thursford for the highlight of this trip. Visit the ‘olde worlde’ village of shops, such as the Best of British Pantry Shop selling British jams, chutneys and biscuits, as well as the Christmas Shop for everything you need for a perfect festive season. Why not also see the world’s largest collection of steam engines and organs (extra charges apply)?
It’s then time to take our seats for the fabulous Christmas Spectacular, a show which has entertained millions of visitors for over 40 years. It is one of Europe’s biggest seasonal shows and this award-winning production is sure to amaze with a cast of dancers, singers, musicians, and variety acts.
We return back to the hotel in time for our Christmas dinner.
Please note: the order of excursions is subject to change and the Thursford Christmas Spectacular may take place on a different day or in the evening. If we do enjoy an evening performance of the show, dinner will not be included at the hotel and you will have lunch instead.
Relax in Great Yarmouth or join our optional excursion to Cromer, the ‘Gem of the Norfolk Coast’. Once a small fishing village and now a traditional seaside resort, stroll down its Victorian pier, which has withstood many storms and even an attempt to blow it up by the Government in WWII to prevent it being used as a landing strip for enemy invaders! Sample the famous Cromer crab, a local delicacy, and discover the town’s maritime history at the Lifeboat Museum and Cromer Museum. We also stop at pretty Sheringham, a traditional seaside town that is full of character.
with an extra experience
This optional excursion is available to pre-book or you can book during your tour.
This morning we visit historic Norwich, a truly English city. Here, you can wander among the medieval streets, including cobbled Elm Hill, which is full of character. Norwich is the most complete medieval city in the UK, the only city in a National Park, and was England’s first UNESCO City of Literature. It is of course also famous for Alan Partridge, Steve Coogan’s comedic character presenting Radio Norwich. There is also Norwich Market, open six days a week, as well as two shopping centres and four department stores.
We depart the hotel this morning and return home.
Our team (based right here in the UK) will be more than happy to talk you through things - just give us a buzz!
