One of the greatest shows on earth, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a spectacular mix of music and dance, pomp and ceremony, performed in the shadow of mighty Edinburgh Castle. Expect stirring performances from the 1,000 musicians, pipers, drummers, singers and dancers – a night to remember!

After breakfast, we enjoy a leisurely morning before making our way to Edinburgh for the highlight of our trip.
Arriving in the afternoon, there will be some free time to explore – why not enjoy the atmosphere of the Royal Mile, hit the shops on popular Princes Street or see the sights in the delightful Old Town. There are plenty of dining options through the city as well as cosy pubs and charming cafés to enjoy.
Later in the evening we take our seats for The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo**. Drawing together a host of creative talent from across four continents, the innovative production features heart-stopping sounds, imaginative graphics, state-of-the-art lighting, specially commissioned fireworks and almost 1,000 performers! After the show we’ll make our way back to the hotel.
After a leisurely morning we visit the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow, which bursts with culture, history, museums and superb shopping.
Glasgow is full of striking architecture, from the magnificent splendour of the gothic Cathedral to the modern Riverside Museum – there is so much to admire! Having evolved over recent decades, Glasgow is now one of Britain’s most vibrant and intriguing cities.
Today's included excursion will vary depending on the location of your hotel and will be confirmed on your travel documents:
Border Country Discover the rolling hills of Border Country as we visit the Border Town of Kelso with its charming market square, and historic Jedburgh, known for its associations with Mary Queen of Scots.
Ayrshire Coast Enjoy an excursion along the Ayrshire Coast to reach Ayr, a popular town with many fine buildings in the heart of Robert Burns Country. This popular seaside resort has a charming seafront and there are great shopping and dining opportunities to be enjoyed.
Loch Lomond Admire the sparkling scenery of the Trossachs National Park, with its vast mountain ranges and sparkling, tranquil lochs and, enjoy some free time on the shores of stunning Loch Lomond.
Stirling Visit the impressive city of Stirling where you can explore the Old Town and the charming Victorian Stirling Arcade, or admire the hill-top castle and National Wallace Monument – the choice is yours!
Return home.

Before we head to the ancient capital of Dunfermline to visit the grave of Robert The Bruce in the magnificent abbey.
Perth & Dundee - Visit the historic city of Perth where you can view the "Stone Of Destiny" in the Perth Museum before visiting maritime Dundee where you will have free time to explore. Why not visit the V&A Museum or RRS Discovery at Discovery Point.
