In 2025, the French port of Dunkirk plays host to the end of the spectacular Tall Ships Race. Around 80 ships will be berthed in the harbour, and there will be a large number of special events organised during the huge celebrations. Join us on this exciting coach break and experience the fun of this world-famous race!

Enjoy two days in the coastal town of Dunkirk, which boasts natural beauty and historic buildings.
The Tall Ships Races are an internationally acclaimed, annual competition organised by Sail Training International and held every summer in European waters. Each year around 80 vessels from 15-20 countries, crewed by some 6,000 young people from over 30 countries worldwide, take part in this unique event that combines four days of activities in each port, with racing or cruising-in-company between ports. The main aim of the event is to provide an opportunity for young people, and so at least 50% of a Tall Ship's crew must be aged 15-25.
Enjoy the local events around the town, with likely highlights to look out for including the crew parade, which sees hundreds of crew members take to the streets in celebration, fireworks on the closing evening and, of course, the parade of sail, which will see the Tall Ships wave goodbye to the city of Dunkirk in quite a spectacular fashion.
