ABOUT THE TOUR
Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the northern Highlands on a short break to the beautiful Victorian spa town of Strathpeffer. Visit Castle Leod, home to the Earl of Cromartie - the Chief of the Clan Mackenzie, which is inhabited by the same family for the past few hundred years. The historic pump house that once delivered the spa lifestyle to Victorian elite is another must see attraction and pavilion and restored pump room.

Day 1:
Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to the Highland Hotel, Strathpeffer for three nights.

Day 2: Inverness and Loch Ness
Included visit to Inverness, a vibrant, bustling, modern city at the top of the Great Glen and known as ‘capital’ of the Highlands. View this compact city from the top of Inverness Castle, marvel at the stunning St Andrew’s Cathedral or take a relaxing stroll along the banks of the River Ness. We also enjoy a scenic drive to admire the spectacular scenery of Loch Ness.

Day 3: Day at leisure or Black Isle
Relax in Strathpeffer, or join our optional excursion to the Black Isle.
Endless beautiful landscapes are in store as we cross the Cromarty Firth to reach this beautiful area, which isn’t actually an island! Keep an eye out for one of the region’s sites as a pod of resident bottlenose dolphins often frolic at Chanonry Point,

You will stay for three nights at the Highland Hotel, located in Strathpeffer.
Nestled in a beautiful green glen in the spa town of Strathpeffer, the Highland Hotel offers guests a very warm welcome and an authentic Scottish experience. Find stunning original features throughout the hotel, including beautiful ceilings, ancient beams and traditional wood panelling which add to the relaxed and cosy atmosphere, and outside, guests can enjoy the pretty gardens. The on-site restaurant has the feel of a traditional Scottish hunting lodge and it’s the perfect place to taste local cuisine, or simply unwind with a drink in the evening. There are a number of great walking trails starting in the area and the Victorian spa village of Strathpeffer is right on the doorstep.
