Sorrento, Rome and the Neapolitan Riviera

We reach our overnight hotel in the Parma area in time for dinner.

We continue our journey south to the Neapolitan Riviera for a six-night stay in the coastal town of Vico Equense.

Join our included full-day visit to the beautiful resort of Sorrento. The town and area has been a popular holiday resort for over 2000 years with all nationalities visiting, and is the perfect place to watch the world go by. The town features beautiful architecture, as well as many cafés, restaurants and lots of shops for you to explore. A popular souvenir from the area is Limoncello, the signature lemon liqueur. Spend time exploring the narrow streets and harbour area, browse the shops for gifts or sit back and relax with a traditional Italian pastry and a cappuccino – the choice is yours!

Enjoy a day at leisure or join our optional excursion to the historic town of Pompeii, at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, on our optional excursion. In 79AD the inhabitants of Pompeii were literally frozen in time, when the eruption of Mount Vesuvius covered the small town in approximately 6 metres of stone and ash.

Accompany your expert guide around the town, walking along roads with indents from the passing of chariot wheels and discovering the remains of homes, shops and public baths (entrance to the ruins is included). Later, we also include a light lunch in a restaurant at Pompeii.

Enjoy another day exploring the area at leisure or join our exciting optional excursion! We head to the port of Sorrento and board the hydrofoil to the enchanting island of Capri. With its beautiful, rugged landscape, mild climate and luxuriant vegetation, Capri plays host to thousands of tourists each year, who are so delighted that they dream to come back again!

As we head by mini-bus along the road that links Capri to Anacapri, you can admire the magnificent panoramas. After some time in Anacapri, wander on the famous “Piazzetta” in Capri town and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.

Relax at leisure or join our optional excursion today, as we enjoy the Amalfi Drive, a beautiful itinerary with amazing panoramas on the Amalfi Coast! Running down the southern side of the Sorrento Peninsula, the Amalfi Coast is one of Europe’s most beautiful stretches of road. With its steep-sloped lemon tree gardens, coloured terrace houses, stunning views and azure sea, this really is a highlight of our tour. We pass Positano with its magnificent cathedral, and Ravello, famous for the Villa Ruffolo, which boasts world-famous views.

We leave the Neapolitan Riviera this morning as we head north towards our overnight hotel in Chianciano Terme. En route, we visit the beautiful Italian capital city of Rome. The Historic Centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with wonderful palaces, churches, basilicas, Roman ruins, monuments and fountains. It has an immensely rich historical heritage and cosmopolitan atmosphere. There will be ample free time for you to explore this wonderful city at your leisure.
