Our included excursions takes us first to Caernarfon, dominated by one of the most impressive castles in Wales. The huge castle, with its unusual octagon towers, was the largest of many built by Edward I at the end of the 13th century. Edward’s son was born here in 1284 and became the first Prince of Wales followed, nearly seven centuries later, by HRH King Charles II.

We head over the Menai Straits and on to the Isle of Anglesey with a photo stop at impressive Beaumaris Castle, an unfinished masterpiece, built in 1295.

Here we board the all-weather cruiser to Puffin Island – home to many species of birds and wildlife. The 1½ hour cruise, with live commentary, takes you right round the island with regular sightings of puffins, grey seals and dolphins.

The hotel was wonderful..the meals were excellent and the bedrooms were spotless. The staff were really friendly...the only disappointment was that we couldn't go to Puffin Island because of the weather but lovely Shaun organised an alternative boat trip for us....and also a little extra ..a ride on the steam train...A VERY enjouable holiday...Thank you to everyone concerned

Great value, hotel, staff and food excellent. Shaun, our driver, worked very hard to make our holiday a good time. He had a couple of difficult passengers and dealt with them with care and good humour.
