We head north through scenic Wiltshire to Stonehenge, an iconic, unforgettable prehistoric site. There have been monuments here for over 5,000 years and the unique stone circle was erected around 2500 BC. Stonehenge’s visitor centre tells the tale behind the stones while the Neolithic huts give a glimpse into the lives of our ancient ancestors.
Our tour of the Wiltshire Downs continues to view the famous White Horse at Westbury.
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Salisbury. Be sure to take in the abundance of historic buildings, including the majestic cathedral, which boasts Britain’s tallest spire at a breathtaking 123 metres. With plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants, there’s plenty to see and do here.
Today, we visit the beautiful city of Bath. Situated on the River Avon, between the Cotswolds and the Mendip Hills, Bath’s striking architecture and sweeping Georgian terraces combine to produce one of the most elegant cities in Europe. You will have free time in the city to explore its treasures – the famous Roman Baths is a must!
