Founded in 1446 by Sir William St Clair, the chapel is described as "a treasure in stone" due to its magnificent ornate stonework and intricate carvings. The beauty of its setting and the mysterious symbolism that surrounds the site has made it an inspiration for the best-selling novel ‘The Da Vinci Code’, with links to the Holy Grail legend.

We then journey to see one of the most famous Scottish landmarks, The Kelpies. Located in Helix Park near Falkirk and standing 100ft tall they are the largest equine sculptures in the world. The works of art, created by artist Andy Scott, have become iconic on the landscape after being modelled on real-life icons of times gone by — Clydesdale horses Duke and Baron. The Kelpies represent the lineage of the heavy horse of Scottish industry and economy, pulling the wagons, ploughs, barges and coalships.
