Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then onto Halifax where we stay for four nights.
Today we visit RHS Harlow Carr which evokes the scenery of the surrounding landscapes with water features, dry stone walls and wooded areas. The beautiful plants here are a showcase of plants, shrubs, flowers and trees.
Later in the day, we continue to visit elegant Harrogate with its historic buildings, delightful gardens and stylish shops - as well, of course, as the famous Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms!
Today we enjoy a scenic trip to charming Haworth, home of the Bronte sisters. You could visit The Bronte Parsonage Museum was the family's former home which offers a fascinating insight into the talented family, discover the many independent shops the village has to offer or relax in a cafe and admire the surrounding scenery that inspired some of England's most important literature.
The RHS's newest attraction is RHS Bridgewater, located on the outskirts of Manchester. Reviving the gardens of the historic 156 acre estate has been one of the largest gardening projects in Europe and here you will find the Walled Kitchen Garden, the Lost Terraces and tree-lined Garden Approach.
