Polar Bears, a Wildlife Adventure and the Kingdom of Ice

Following our regional departure, we head to the magnificent cathedral city of Lincoln for a short stop. From here we continue to Hull, driving over the spectacular Humber Bridge for our two-night stay. Enjoy dinner this evening.

Following breakfast, we visit Yorkshire Wildlife Park, a fabulous walk-through animal attraction set in 70 acres of themed lands.

Park areas include Lemur Woods, the Woodland Trail, a goats and sheep contact area, Wallaby Walkabout, South America, the Animal Action theatre, African Plains, Wetlands, Forest Adventure, World Farm, Lion Country, Leopard Heights, giraffes, the Flamingo pool, and meerkat and mongoose enclosures.

Built on a former riding school and small farm attraction, Yorkshire Wildlife Park has come a long way since opening in April 2009. Now a dynamic centre for conservation and welfare, it's home to some of the world's most endangered animals.

Following a wild day out, we make our way back to the hotel in time for a relaxing dinner.

After breakfast, we make the short journey to The Deep, where you can embark on a journey through the world's oceans, travelling from oceans past into the future. From shallow tropical lagoons to the darkest depths of the coldest seas, marvel at the incredible diversity of life beneath the waves. The Deep aims to create a deeper understanding and enjoyment of the ocean through stunning marine life, interactive displays and presentations.

Don't miss the chilly Kingdom of Ice, home to Gentoo penguins. The area offers the chance to feel what it's like to live in the cold Antarctic climate by touching real ice walls, and to discover more about global warming, ocean acidification and the food chains of the animals that survive in these colder environments. With chances to view the penguins from different areas, you can enjoy watching them both above and below the water as they speedily swim and play!

Following our visit, we depart early afternoon for our journey home.
