Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then to the Angus Hotel, Blairgowrie for four nights.
We visit Perth, once the capital of Scotland and a picturesque playground for kings and queens. We continue to St. Andrews, famous as the 'Home of Golf' but also home to a ruined castle and cathedral that overlook the beaches that featured in 'Chariots of Fire'.
One of the highlights of our tour, as we head to Aberfeldy and climb aboard your 4x4 with a kilted Ranger. Armed with binoculars, share in their passion for nature, culture, wildlife as you travel through forests, mountains and moors on hill tracks with breathtaking scenery up to 3000 feet. There are regular sightings of Deer, Grouse and Golden Eagles. Enjoy a 'wee dram' and shortbread in a mountain bothy.
The remainder of the day is spent exploring Perthshire, take in the 'Queens View' with time free in the Victorian spa town of Pitlochry.
Soak up 1000 years of history at Glamis, the finest castle in Scotland, birthplace of Princess Margaret, and the setting for Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Explore the opulent rooms and the extensive gardens and pathways.
Nearby is the rejuvenated city of Dundee. Whilst here why not visit The Victoria & Albert Museum, featuring over 300 exhibits, explaining Scotland’s outstanding achievements across the world.
Return home.
Please note order of excursions could vary and will be reconfirmed by your driver on tour.
